Short Ghandruk Trekking, allow you to witness typical Nepalese Hill people culture of Gurung, one of the famous tribes as Gorkha soldiers in foreign legion with British and Indian Armies, besides as Gorkha they are farmers and cattle herders since ancient times.
Short Ghandruk Trek starts from scenic and beautiful Pokhara city and its verdant valley, where a drive leads to begin our walk uphill into nice lovely villages with grand views of mighty Annapurna peaks, and then walking ups and down to reach another magnificent spot at Dhampus villages facing an outmost panorama of Annapurna-Dhaulagiri-Manaslu with famous Machhapuchare the Fish-Tail peak. Our short Ghandruk trekking ends after taking a drive back to magnificent Pokhara after a glorious experience on high hills of massive Annapurna range of mountains.

Day 01: Drive to Bhirethati and trek to Ghandruk 1,945 m – 05 hrs.
Day 02: Trek to Tolka 1,640 m via Landruk village – 05 hrs.
Day 03: Trek to Dhampus village 1,530 m and drive to Pokhara – 06 hrs.
Day 01: Drive past Bhirethati and trek to Ghandruk 1,945 m – 05 hrs.
After Pokhara with views of Annapurna Himalaya with Machhapuchare peaks ‘Fish Tail’, and then drive beyond Pokhara to commence our first day walks. Journey with grand views of Annapurna past farm villages and towns and then reaching past Bhirethati to start walks from low warmer farm areas and then on stone steps uphill to reach at Gurung village Ghandruk. At Ghandruk overnight in a nice comfortable lodge with a view of Annapurna peaks with time to visit around this nice Gurung village, which is also a gateway to many trekking and adventure around Annapurna areas, visit Gurung museum for information of the local people and its impressive culture and history.
Day 02: Trek to Tolka 1,640 m via Landruk village – 05 hrs.
From Ghandruk downhill on stone steps to reach low warm farm areas at Kyumi village, from here crossing a steel bridge over raging Modi River and then with an uphill climb to reach another large Gurung village at Landruk facing views of Annapurna South and Huin-Chuli peaks. After a short break on nice gradual walks leads to Tolka village for last overnight stop with views of Annapurna South and Huinchuli peaks.
Day 03: Trek to Dhampus village 1,530 m and drive to Pokhara – 06 hrs.
After Tolka on nice gradual walks past Bhedi Kharka farm villages and then with last climb of the journey of an hour to reach at scenic Deurali hilltop 2,150 m, with grand views of landscapes and mountains. Our last walk from here on easy descend through cool shade of forest to reach at Potana and then at Dhampus another Gurung village with fabulous views of Annapurna-Manaslu-Lamjung Himal and Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish-Tail’, where walk completes taking an exciting hour-long drive back to scenic Pokhara by its calm Phewa Lake after a great time on high hills of Annapurna
I have done 3 treks with Anjan and Nepal High Trek & Expedition Langtang gosainkund Trek, Everest Base Camp Trek and Island peak climbing and Annapurna circuit Trekking 5 years before in Nepal. In 2010, my son, husband and I did the Langtang Valley Trek with Anjan as our amazing guide.
